Questions and information about bike and sports equipment rental

Here you will find answers to the most important questions about bike rental at Busslehner Sports. Find out everything about booking, availability, equipment, prices and service - so that your bike adventure at Lake Achensee gets off to a smooth start.

How is the rental agreement drawn up?

The rental contract is concluded as soon as the booking & payment is completed via the online store and you receive your e-ticket - or when you complete the rental on site.

What happens if my booked sports equipment is not available?

You will receive an equivalent or better piece of sports equipment from our current stock free of charge.

Can I exchange my sports equipment?

Yes, an exchange within the same category is free of charge. An upgrade is possible at any time for an additional charge.

What documents do I need for collection?

Please bring your e-ticket as well as your Achensee guest card and, if required, an official ID such as a passport or driver's license.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

No. If necessary, a copy of your ID will be made.

What happens in the event of late collection?

The rental price cannot be refunded if the vehicle is collected late or not collected at all.

Can I return the sports equipment earlier?

Yes, but reimbursement is only possible in the event of illness or injury with a doctor's certificate.

Can I return my sports equipment at the weekend or on public holidays after closing time?

Yes, but the equipment should be returned by 18:00 at the latest. The sports equipment is locked with the lock provided and the key is placed in the key box provided.

Can I extend the rental period?

Yes, please simply contact us on site - you only pay the difference to the actual rental period.

How can I cancel my booking?

Cancellations are possible until 6 pm the day before, with staggered refunds or vouchers. No refunds will be made for no-shows.

Who is liable for damage or theft?

The hirer is responsible for the rental equipment. Costs may be incurred in the event of improper use or inadequate storage.

What do I have to do in the event of theft?

The theft must be reported to the police within 24 hours and immediately to the rental store.

Can I take out a nominal fee?

Yes, the rented sports equipment can be "insured" against breakage/damage or theft for an additional 10% of the rental amount.

Exceptions to the conclusion of a nominal fee?

The nominal fee does not apply in the event of improper use or theft due to non-compliance with the safekeeping obligations imposed.

What costs will I incur in the event of improper use or theft (without a nominal charge)?

You are liable for the repair costs and the current market value in the event of theft. Further costs such as expert costs, reduction in value or loss of rental income may arise.

Can another person use my rented sports equipment?

No, due to the precise adjustment, the sports equipment may only be used by the person named in the rental agreement.

Which law applies to the rental agreement?

Austrian law shall apply. The court at the location of the rental store shall have jurisdiction.

How do you process my personal data?

We use personal data exclusively for processing the rental agreement.
